U.S.-Ukrainian Investment Fund Opens Portal for Project Submissions

Американо-український фонд запускає портал для потенційних інвестиційних проектів.

The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has announced the launch of an online portal that will serve as a new tool for submitting investment projects to the U.S.-Ukrainian Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF). According to the corporation, the first investments from the fund are expected to be announced in the coming months.

URIF Focuses on Strategic Sectors

URIF was swiftly established under a bilateral agreement on mineral resources signed between Ukraine and the U.S. in April. The fund officially began its operations in December and is already preparing to accept project applications. Key investment areas will include critical minerals and other sectors that are strategically important for both countries.

According to forecasts from U.S. officials, by the end of the year, the fund’s volume could reach $200 million. The Ukrainian side expects to announce three initial investment projects this year.

“We look forward to reviewing project proposals and making our first investments in the coming months,” said Conor Coleman, head of DFC investments and a board member of the fund.

Support from the U.S. and Strategic Cooperation

DFC CEO Ben Black emphasized that the launch of the portal reflects U.S. President Donald Trump’s commitment to fostering lasting peace in Ukraine. This step also opens new opportunities for developing projects that align with the shared national interests of both countries.
