Intense Fighting Across the Front Line

The Ukrainian command reports hits on five areas where Russian units were concentrated. One battle was recorded in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, while in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops made five assault attempts against Ukrainian units.

In the Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled enemy attacks. The situation was particularly tense in the Kostiantynivka direction, where the enemy launched 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Rusynyi Yar, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka throughout the day.

Pokrovsk Direction: Enemy Intensifies Offensive Actions

The Russian army reached its highest activity in the Pokrovsk direction. In these areas, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 assault attacks from the aggressor. Fighting occurred near the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Zapovidne, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, and Muravka.

“In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 21 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Zapovidne, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, and Muravka,” the report states.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also recorded seven attacks by Russian troops in the Oleksandrivka direction and eleven in the Huliaipole direction (in the areas of Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Hirke, and Huliaipole). In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked twice, while three offensive actions were halted in the Dnipro direction.

After a brief Easter truce that lasted 32 hours — from 4:00 PM on April 11 to midnight on April 13, hostilities resumed with high intensity.

Russian troops began their offensive on Pokrovsk — a city that had a population of about 60,000 before the full-scale war — back in February 2024, immediately following the capture of Avdiivka, located approximately 39 kilometers southeast of Pokrovsk.
