Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed a licensing agreement that allows for the start of serial production of Ukrainian interceptor drones, Octopus, on British territory. These drones have already proven their effectiveness in countering Russian kamikaze drones of the ‘Shahed’ type. The interceptors produced in Britain will be delivered to Ukraine, and production volumes could reach several thousand units per month.

Features of the Octopus Drones and Their Role in Defending Ukraine
Octopus is a modern technology for intercepting aerial targets, developed by Ukrainian specialists in collaboration with British partners. The main goal of implementing these drones is to provide Ukrainian defense forces with an affordable and effective tool for neutralizing ‘Shaheds’, which helps reduce the burden on expensive air defense systems. As early as November, these drones were launched into serial production.

In addition, two Ukrainian companies, Osiris AI and DefDrones, have signed an agreement for strategic cooperation in the development of hardware and software solutions for modern unmanned platforms. Osiris AI specializes in creating software for unmanned systems, while DefDrones develops and supplies high-performance microelectronic components for such technologies. This partnership will foster the emergence of new innovative solutions in the field of unmanned aviation and strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
