In 2024, Ukrainians declared 326 billion hryvnias in income, which is 107 billion more than the previous year. The largest income amounts were recorded among residents of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lviv regions. This information was released by the State Tax Service, citing the head of the STS, Ruslan Kravchenko.

According to the data, over 170 thousand declarations were submitted. Citizens reported 8.1 billion hryvnias in personal income tax (PIT) and over 1.5 billion hryvnias in military tax. The largest income amounts were declared by:
- Kyiv: 156 billion hryvnias.
- Dnipropetrovsk region: nearly 30 billion hryvnias.
- Lviv region: 18.2 billion hryvnias.
- Kyiv region: 17.5 billion hryvnias.
A significant portion of the income was obtained from foreign sources, inheritance, gifts, and the sale of movable and immovable property. Ruslan Kravchenko also noted that this year the number of millionaires increased by 6,600 compared to last year.
“In total, more than 17 thousand individuals declared incomes exceeding one million hryvnias. Overall, millionaires declared income amounting to 253.6 billion hryvnias, with tax liabilities of 8.7 billion hryvnias identified for payment. One resident of Kyiv reported a record amount of tax liabilities for PIT and military tax to be paid to the budget – over 4.6 billion hryvnias,” the statement said.
