Prices for Imported and Local Tomatoes
Market participants believe that the first large batches of local vegetables may not appear until the end of April. However, the majority of supplies in the Ukrainian market are still occupied by imported Turkish tomatoes. According to market data, the price for imported tomatoes ranges from 70 to 80 UAH/kg ($1.70-1.94/kg), which is significantly cheaper than the cost of local products.
