The Conditions of the Preventive Measure Have Been Eased

The court partially granted the appeal filed by Tymoshenko’s defense regarding the applied preventive measure in the form of bail amounting to 33 million hryvnias. Although the bail itself remains in effect, the Appeals Chamber has eased certain restrictions. In particular, Yulia Tymoshenko has been allowed to freely communicate with all members of parliament and to travel outside the Kyiv region.

Tymoshenko’s Statement and the Court’s Position

After the session, Yulia Tymoshenko once again emphasized that she considers the recordings published by the NABU and SAP to be falsified and views the case as political persecution. She also stated her intention to prove her innocence in court.

Yulia Tymoshenko herself reiterated after the session of the Appeals Chamber that the recordings previously published by the NABU and SAP were falsified and that there is a “political order” against her. The people’s deputy also assured that she intends to prove her innocence in court.

Furthermore, the court considered the appeal of the prosecution, which insisted on strengthening the preventive measure against Tymoshenko; however, these demands were rejected.
