According to Brovdi, the strike targeted the pre-flight preparation point for Russian “Orion” drones, as well as the transport aircraft An-72P and the radar station “Mech” of the P-37 type. Ukrainian military confirmed the destruction of four enemy UAVs “Orion,” the transport aircraft An-72P, and the Soviet mobile two-coordinate radar station for circular surveillance P-37, which were located at the Kirovske airfield near the settlement of Krasnosilske.

There, a transport aircraft An-72P and the Soviet mobile two-coordinate radar station for circular surveillance P-37 ‘Mech’ were also found and destroyed,” Brovdi stated.
Drone Attacks and Occupants’ Response
No official confirmations or comments from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation regarding the losses caused by this strike have been received. Independent projects monitoring the situation on the peninsula report that information about the attack is undergoing additional verification.
On the evening of April 1 and the night of April 2, powerful explosions were heard in various areas of Crimea due to massive drone attacks. According to the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” the districts of Krasnoperekopsk, Razdolne, Chervonohvardiyske, Kirovsk, as well as Feodosia and Kerch were under attack. Subscribers of the channel noted that intense explosions and gunfire were heard at the Kirovske airfield, and a missile or rocket drone was observed moving over the strait, despite attempts by Russian military to shoot it down.
Since 2022, the Crimean Peninsula has regularly faced drone and missile attacks. In most cases, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the occupying authorities do not acknowledge the damage to their military facilities, even when the facts of such attacks are confirmed by independent sources.
