The State Enterprise ‘Forests of Ukraine’ significantly increased its financial indicators based on the results from January to September 2025. Revenue from product sales amounted to 21.7 billion UAH, which is 25.4% higher compared to the same period last year.

Growth in Profitability and Tax Contributions
Half of the funds received were directed to the budgets of various levels, and the amount of taxes paid nearly reached 10.7 billion UAH, which is 70% more than last year’s figure. Thanks to increased revenue, cost optimization, and savings on purchases, the company’s profitability rose from 14.8% to 28.6%.
“Due to the increase in revenue from sales, significant savings on purchases, and cost optimization, profitability has risen from 14.8% to 28.6% compared to last year,” the ‘Forests of Ukraine’ clarified.
Record Harvests and Stability in the Firewood Market
In September, the enterprise harvested the largest volume of timber in the last five months – from 1.07 to 1.1 million cubic meters per month. The fulfillment of auction contracts for wood supply exceeds 90%, and considering buyer refusals, it reaches 97%. Most refusals are recorded in frontline, eastern, and northern regions due to increased harvesting and logistics risks. Forward semi-annual contracts are being fulfilled at nearly 100%.
As of the end of the quarter, the product stocks in the company’s warehouses decreased to the lowest level since the beginning of the year – 550 thousand cubic meters.
The company notes a sustained high demand for firewood among the population, which matches last year’s level. In September, over 300 thousand cubic meters of firewood were harvested, and by the end of the year, it is planned to prepare an additional 900 thousand cubic meters to form a strategic reserve for winter.
Despite the rise in exchange prices for firewood since last year, ‘Forests of Ukraine’ maintain social prices for the population and the social sector. The average cost of firewood across the country remains stable – around 1–1.1 thousand UAH per cubic meter.
