In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers detained the organizers of a scheme for illegal border crossing. The criminals were caught during the transfer of funds for organizing the exit.

Operational Uncovering of the Organized Group
According to the border guards, the criminal scheme was uncovered thanks to the joint actions of the operatives of the DPSU “Center” border units, the police, the prosecutor’s office, and the special unit “Dozor-Zhytomyr”. During the investigation, it was revealed that the organizers planned to smuggle two conscription-age men out of Ukraine for 12,000 euros.
According to the criminals’ plan, they were to transport the “clients” to a designated location, bypassing official checkpoints. However, the suspect was caught precisely during the attempt to carry out the criminal plan.
Legal Responsibility and Case Details
Investigators detained the 18-year-old organizer under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, he was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime as stipulated by part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (committed by a group of persons in collusion, concerning several persons, for mercenary motives).
“The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 565,760 UAH, which he has not yet provided. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment from 7 to 9 years.”

Territorial recruitment and social support centers will receive information about individuals evading mobilization for the purpose of their search and bringing them to justice.
