Sales of Chinese Passenger Cars in Ukraine Increased by 27% Over Nine Months

There is a significant increase in demand for Chinese-made passenger cars in Ukraine. Over the past nine months of the current year, Ukrainians purchased 14,684 Chinese passenger vehicles, which is 27% higher than last year’s figures for the same period.

New Chinese Cars: Market Leaders and Sales Dynamics

The majority of purchases were for new cars – 12,064 units were bought by Ukrainians, which is 39% more than last year. Thus, new cars are becoming increasingly attractive to Ukrainian consumers who value modernity and technology.

The most popular new Chinese models include:

  • BYD Song Plus – 2,014 cars
  • Volkswagen ID. UNYX – 1,599 cars
  • Honda eNS1 – 992 cars
  • Zeekr 7X – 726 cars
  • BYD Sea Lion 07 – 618 cars

Sales of Used Chinese Cars: Trends and Popular Models

In the used car segment, there is a decline: sales volumes decreased by 8% to 2,620 units. At the same time, electric vehicles still lead in the secondary market.

The most popular used Chinese cars were:

  • Zeekr 001 – 263 cars
  • Zeekr 7X – 143 cars
  • Polestar 2 – 138 cars
  • BYD Song Plus – 135 cars
  • Audi Q4 – 134 cars

It is worth noting that the share of electric vehicles among all purchased Chinese passenger cars reached 87%, reflecting a strong trend towards eco-friendliness and innovation in transportation in Ukraine.
