Revenue to Local Budgets of Ukraine Increased by 15% in Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, revenue to local budgets of Ukraine reached 132.8 billion hryvnias. This is 15% more than in the same period of 2025.

Main Sources of Local Budget Revenue

The most significant source of revenue traditionally remains the personal income tax: in Q1 2026, its volume amounted to nearly 76 billion hryvnias, which is 18.8% higher than last year’s figures. A substantial portion of budget revenues was also provided by the single tax (21.8 billion hryvnias, +10.4%), property taxes (14.6 billion hryvnias, +13.4%), and corporate profit tax (11.8 billion hryvnias, +3.6%).

Positive dynamics are also demonstrated by some individual payments. In particular, revenue from the tourist tax increased by 23.6%, totaling 82.2 million hryvnias. Rent payments for the use of subsoil resources rose by 23.4%, reaching 250.6 million hryvnias.

Additional Sources of Growth and Their Importance for Communities

Among other payments, it is worth noting the parking fee (56.2 million hryvnias, +17.5%) and the environmental tax, which amounted to nearly 400 million hryvnias (+4.8%).

The State Tax Service emphasized that such revenues are critically important for the implementation of local programs, especially in the context of martial law.

It is worth noting that in January-February 2026, local budgets received over 85 billion hryvnias in taxes, which is 13.9% more compared to the corresponding period last year.
