After the main registration phase is completed, participants have the opportunity to make changes to their data in the personal account until April 7. Additional registration will take place from May 11 to 16.
Key Dates and Innovations in the NMT-2026 Format
The main session of the NMT-2026 will be held from May 20 to June 25. Those who did not manage to register or need to participate in the additional session will be able to take the test from July 17 to 24.
Due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine is temporarily not conducting the traditional external independent assessment (EIA). Instead, the NMT is used for admission to higher education institutions.
In 2026, the test format has been updated: now applicants must take four subjects — Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine, and one additional subject of their choice, whereas previously there were only three disciplines. The entire test is completed in one day over four hours, with a 20-minute break between blocks.
