During the first nine months of 2025, revenues from the tourist tax to local budgets in Ukraine increased by 35.7% compared to the same period last year. The total amount reached 234.4 million UAH, indicating a surge in tourist activity in the country.

Leading Regions by Amount of Tourist Tax Paid
Among the regions, the highest figures were recorded in Kyiv, where the tourist tax reached 52.8 million UAH. Lviv region took second place with 42.5 million UAH, and in third place was Ivano-Frankivsk region with 32.5 million UAH. Zakarpattia region also showed significant revenues of 21.2 million UAH.
Reasons for Revenue Growth
Experts attribute the increase in tourist tax revenues to a heightened interest in domestic tourism and the activation of leisure activities in various regions of the country. The development of tourist infrastructure and the organization of cultural and sporting events play an important role.
From January to September, the payment of the tourist tax increased by 35.7% compared to the corresponding period last year – this year local budgets received 234.4 million UAH.
The dynamics of revenue growth from the tourist tax confirm the improvement in the tourist attractiveness of Ukrainian regions and their ability to attract more visitors.
