Significant changes in prices for new harvest products have been recorded in the Ukrainian vegetable and fruit market. The most notable drop is observed in young cabbage: over the week, its price decreased from 20-27 to 13-15 hryvnias per kilogram.

Price Dynamics for Vegetables: Cabbage, Beetroot, Zucchini
In addition to young cabbage, early table beetroot continues to decrease in price – prices have fallen from 50-55 to 40-45 UAH/kg. A significant drop in value has also been recorded for zucchini, which have decreased from 45-55 to 20-26 UAH/kg. Against the backdrop of increasing supply of cauliflower and broccoli, prices have also dropped: cauliflower – from 50-55 to 30-30 UAH/kg, broccoli – from 100-130 to 70-90 UAH/kg.
At the same time, prices for new harvest onions have risen – from 30-35 to 35-40 UAH/kg. Last year’s potatoes have increased in price from 23-25 to 25-28 UAH/kg. Tomatoes continue to decrease in price: the upper price limit has fallen from 100 to 95 UAH/kg. In contrast, sweet peppers have significantly increased in price: the upper limit has risen from 110 to 130 UAH/kg.
Changes in the Greens and Fruits Market
In the greens segment, dill has significantly decreased in price – from 80-100 to 50-80 UAH/kg, while the minimum price for parsley has dropped from 170 to 150 UAH/kg. The cost of other greens has remained stable: green onions – 120-150 UAH/kg, lettuce – 35-45 UAH/kg, asparagus – 200-450 UAH/kg.
The fruit and berry segment has seen an increase in the price of garden strawberries, with the lower price limit rising from 110 to 120 UAH/kg. Cherries, especially high-quality ones, have increased even more:
“the upper price limit has jumped from 200 to 300 hryvnias per kilogram.”
Prices for pears have started to decrease – the minimum price has fallen from 100 to 90 UAH/kg. The first apricots have appeared on the market, offered within the range of 120-140 UAH/kg.
Overall, the Ukrainian market demonstrates a diverse price dynamic for both new and old harvest vegetables and fruits: some items have significantly decreased in price, while others, on the contrary, have increased in value due to supply and demand.
