Reasons for Outages and the State of the Energy System
The introduction of such restrictions has become necessary due to the consequences of massive missile and drone attacks by the Russian Federation on the country’s energy infrastructure. Damage to energy system facilities has affected the ability to provide stable electricity supply to consumers in various regions.
“The situation in the energy system may change. The time and extent of outages will be communicated by the regional energy companies on their official social media pages”.
Consequences of Attacks and Current Information
As of the morning of March 20, due to Russian shelling, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions remained without power. Ukrenergo emphasizes that the situation in the energy system remains dynamic and urges citizens to follow updates from local regional energy companies regarding schedules and duration of outages.
All residential and industrial consumers can obtain current information about planned restrictions on the official pages of their regional energy companies on social media.
