Reasons and Features of the Restrictions
According to Ukrenergo, these measures have become a necessary step following further strikes on energy facilities, which led to damage to critical energy systems in Kyiv and several regions. As a result, hourly electricity supply schedules have been introduced to stabilize energy supply, which will last throughout the day on November 26.
“Hourly electricity supply schedules will operate with volumes ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 shifts throughout the entire day on Wednesday.”
Separate power limitation schedules have also been established for businesses and industrial consumers, which will operate continuously throughout the day.
Possible Changes to Schedules and Recommendations
Energy workers warn of the likelihood of schedule adjustments or even the introduction of emergency outages in case of unforeseen situations in the network. Residents are advised to monitor updates on the official pages of regional energy companies for timely information.
On the night of November 24 to 25, Russia carried out a massive attack—hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles were launched across the territory of Ukraine. Energy facilities in the capital and several regions were hit. Experts warn that regions that have suffered the most damage may face stricter electricity outage schedules in the coming days.
To find out detailed information about electricity supply in a specific city or village, it is advisable to use the official online resources of energy companies. In the event of emergency outages, hourly schedules may be canceled, and disconnections may occur without prior notice.
