New Criteria for Receiving 800+ Payments
From now on, only those Ukrainians with UKR status who are officially employed in Poland and pay taxes will be eligible for the 800+ social assistance. To confirm this, a package of documents must be submitted, including:
- the PESEL number of the applicant and the child;
- information about border crossings;
- documents confirming legal residence in Poland;
- data about professional activity;
- a certificate of the child’s attendance at school or kindergarten in Poland.
The 800+ payment will depend on whether the applicant worked in the previous month. The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will verify this information through insurance registers. In most cases, no additional certificates will be required.
Who Loses the Right to Payments and Exceptions to the Rules
“Only Ukrainians with UKR status who work in the country and pay taxes will be eligible for the 800+ payments.”
Eligible professional activities include work under an employment contract or a mandate contract, running a business, receiving a sports or doctoral scholarship, unemployment benefits, as well as studying with a scholarship.
The employment requirement does not apply to parents of children with disabilities and those applying for a Polish citizen child. Additionally, the 800+ payment is only possible if the child attends a Polish school or kindergarten, and the applicant along with the child actually reside in Poland.
