NABU Conducts Searches at the Main Office of the State Drug Service Over Suspicions of Illegal Enrichment

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has conducted searches at the central office of the State Service of Medicines and Drug Control. Official information regarding the criminal case within which these investigative actions took place is currently unavailable.

According to sources in law enforcement, the searches may be related to suspicions of illegal enrichment of officials. According to insiders in the pharmaceutical market, the investigation may concern the activities of the head of the State Drug Service, Roman Isayenko. In February of this year, he became a subject of a journalistic investigation conducted by Bihus.Info.

“Investigative journalists found that the private laboratory ‘Dobrobut-Likilab’ almost immediately after registration began to receive numerous orders for drug testing from the State Drug Service.”

The founders of this laboratory are individuals connected to Roman Isayenko’s circle, as well as one of the relevant employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Furthermore, the investigative actions may be related to one of the figures in the case – Timur Mindich. According to market sources, he has connections in the pharmaceutical sector and may be involved in the events being investigated by law enforcement.
