Starting January 1, 2026, there will be another increase in the minimum wage in Poland. According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers, signed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and published in the Journal of Laws, the minimum monthly wage will reach 4806 zlotys gross, which is equivalent to approximately 55,127 hryvnias based on the exchange rate as of September 2025. The minimum hourly rate will also increase – to 31.40 zlotys gross (approximately 360 hryvnias).

Impact of the Minimum Wage Increase in Poland
According to estimates by the Polish government, the increase in the minimum wage in 2026 will help reduce the gap between the lowest and average incomes of citizens. Additionally, the wage increase will contribute to the development of the labor market, motivate employees, and promote the legalization of employment. It is estimated that around 3 million workers across Poland will benefit from these changes.

Minimum Wage and Living Wage in Ukraine in 2026
In Ukraine, the government also plans to increase the minimum wage. The draft state budget for 2026 includes an increase in the minimum wage from 8000 to 8647 hryvnias. The living wage, according to the current version of the budget draft, will rise to 3209 hryvnias.
The increase in the minimum wage will also affect businesses: to reserve employees, it will be necessary to ensure an average salary of at least 21,617.5 hryvnias. Employees who apply for reservations will receive no less than this amount after the adoption of the state budget for 2026 and the implementation of new regulations starting January 1, 2026.
