Kovalska to Launch a Concrete Block Production Plant in Lviv Region in June

The industrial and construction group Kovalska plans to launch a new concrete block production plant in June, which will manufacture blocks, panels, U-blocks, and reinforced products in the town of Rozvadiv in the Lviv region. This facility will focus on supplying products to the western regions of Ukraine and the nearest neighboring countries.

The new plant will be a response to the loss of the group’s previous facility in Nova Kakhovka, which was seized by Russia and remains in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. The two phases of the new production will be 100% more powerful than the previous one. The production technology is based on the Aircrete Europe system, which allows for the manufacturing of lightweight concrete with modern insulation properties. Thanks to these technologies, the new plant will be able to reduce energy consumption in buildings by approximately 20%.

A year ago, Kovalska signed an agreement with Invest International to obtain a loan of 27 million euros for the purchase of necessary equipment. This loan is financed by the Dutch Good Growth Fund.

The concrete block production plant will be the first part of the future industrial hub of Kovalska, which will also include plants for the production of dry construction mixtures and concrete. The total investment in the creation of this hub will amount to 100 million euros.
