In 2025, over 77% of passenger cars that joined the Ukrainian vehicle fleet were used vehicles imported from abroad. Over the year, Ukrainians purchased 274,300 such cars, which is 24% more compared to 2024. The average age of imported passenger cars was 8.4 years.

Market Structure and Popular Engine Types
The largest share among imported used cars was held by gasoline models – 43%. The share of electric vehicles in the market was 31%, diesel – 18%, hybrid – 5%, and vehicles with gas equipment – 3%. In the hybrid car segment, Ukrainians purchased 31,200 passenger cars, which is 31% higher than the previous year’s figure. It is worth noting that among these hybrids, 57% were new, similar to 2024.
Dynamics of the Domestic Electric Vehicle Market
The domestic electric vehicle market in Ukraine is also showing steady growth. By the end of the year, over 35,000 transactions for the purchase and sale of electric cars were made, which is 38% more than in 2024. December was particularly active: 4,281 transactions were concluded, which is 54% more than in November and 313% higher than the figure for December of the previous year. Tesla remains the leader among electric vehicles in the domestic market.
