Import of Trucks to Ukraine Decreased by 45% in January 2026 to $41.1 Million

In January 2026, the volume of truck imports to Ukraine significantly decreased, reaching $41.1 million. This is 45% less than in the same period of 2025, according to data from the State Customs Service.

Import Dynamics and Main Suppliers

Compared to December 2025, the volume of truck imports decreased by 2.5 times. The largest supplier in January remained France, with $6.1 million, which is 38.3% less than last year. At the same time, the share of French trucks in the total import structure increased to 14.9% compared to 13.3% a year ago.

The second place among exporters was taken by Thailand with $4.7 million (11.4%), and third place went to Lithuania ($4.6 million, 11.26%).

“In January of last year, the top three truck suppliers included the USA, Germany, and France.”

Imports of trucks from other countries decreased by 10.3% and amounted to $25.7 million.

Export and Annual Market Dynamics

According to statistics, in January 2026, Ukraine exported only $0.22 million worth of trucks, mainly to Turkey. In comparison, last year the export amounted to $0.76 million, with the main direction being Romania.

At the same time, during 2025, truck imports to Ukraine increased by 5.5% compared to 2024, reaching $999.5 million. The most trucks were imported from France ($169.2 million, +42.8% compared to the previous year), Poland ($162.7 million, -14.7%), and the USA ($109 million, +2%).
