Ukrainian veterans have the opportunity to receive state assistance of 1,500 UAH for sports and rehabilitation. From now on, funds for training in gyms, swimming pools, or sports sections will not be allocated automatically – all interested individuals must submit an application independently.

Who Can Apply for Assistance?
The right to receive 1,500 UAH for sports is granted to veterans, as well as combat participants with disabilities who are over 18 years old. To participate in the program, an individual must meet the following conditions:
- have an official status as a combat participant or a person with a war-related disability registered in the Unified Register of War Veterans (URWV);
- have a verified tax number;
- open a Diia Card account at one of the participating banks.
Applications for assistance must be submitted by April 20, 2026. Submissions are made through the “Diia” app: in the “Services” section, select the “Veteran Sports” category, choose the appropriate Diia Card for fund allocation, and click “Confirm.” The transfer of funds to the account occurs within 6 working days.
“From now on, all veterans who wish to receive funds in the current quarter must submit an application – both those applying for the first time and those who have received this assistance before.”
Targeted Use of Payments
The funds allocated by the state are designated for specific use – they can only be utilized at establishments that have special MCC codes: 7941 (“Physical Culture and Sports”) and 7997 (“Clubs – Country Clubs, Membership”). Such establishments include gyms, swimming pools, sports sections, as well as stores for sports nutrition and vitamins.
In March, testing also began for a new digital service for military personnel – submitting an application for one-time monetary assistance through the “Diia” portal.
