Germany’s Response to Russian Threats
The German Foreign Ministry stressed that any potential threats, as well as espionage activities on the territory of the country, are “absolutely unacceptable.” In response to these actions, the Russian ambassador was summoned to the ministry for explanations.
“Direct threats from Russia to targets in Germany are an attempt to undermine our support for Ukraine and test our unity. Our response is clear: we will not be intimidated.”
As of this moment, the Russian Foreign Ministry has not commented on the German statement.
European Enterprises Under Russian Fire
Prior to this, the Latvian State Security Service emphasized that public statements from the Russian Federation about possible strikes on facilities in Europe indicate aggressive intentions from the Russian authorities. On April 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense warned European countries about the dangers posed by joint projects involving the production of drones and other elements for Ukraine’s defense industry.
The list published by Russia includes 11 Ukrainian companies located in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Latvia, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic. An additional 10 companies from the Czech Republic, Israel, Turkey, Italy, Spain, and Germany have been identified as manufacturers of weapons and their components.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the list, referred to it as a “list of potential targets” for the Russian army.
