“After 4:00 PM, 469 cases of ceasefire violations were recorded. Specifically: 22 enemy assault actions, 153 shellings, 19 strikes with kamikaze drones (“Lancet”, “Lightning”) and 275 strikes with FPV drones,” the report states.

Intensity of Air Strikes and Drone Actions

According to the General Staff, the Russian army carried out 57 air strikes and dropped 182 guided aerial bombs over the course of the day. The enemy also deployed 3,928 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,454 shellings on populated areas and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, four combat engagements occurred, while in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops attacked five times. Ukrainian defense forces repelled three assaults in the Kupiansk direction, six in the Lyman direction, and one in the Sloviansk direction.

Situation on Key Front Directions

The situation remained particularly tense in the Kostiantynivka direction — Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillya, Rusynyi Yar, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka. In the Pokrovsk area, the enemy launched 18 attacks, attempting to advance near Rodynske, Dorohoie, Myrnohrad, Udaine, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, and Novopavlivka.

Russian troops also attempted to improve their tactical position in the Oleksandrivka direction four times, and another four combat engagements occurred in the Huliaipole direction. In the Dnipro direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful assault attempts towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island.

The General Staff emphasizes that defense units must be ready for an operational response to any provocations and offensive actions by the aggressor, even during the declared ceasefire.

At the end of March, President Zelensky expressed Ukraine’s readiness for an Easter ceasefire, which Orthodox and Greek Catholics celebrate on April 12. Ukraine also officially appealed to the U.S. with a corresponding request for support of the initiative.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an “Easter ceasefire” from 4:00 PM on April 11 to the end of April 12, instructing the military to cease hostilities in all directions but remain on alert to respond to provocations. In 2025, a similar initiative took place: despite numerous accusations of violations from both sides, the intensity of hostilities temporarily decreased.
