The Ethereum network has recorded a historic increase in new wallets, indicating a growing interest in this ecosystem ahead of 2026. Over the past week, the average daily number of new addresses reached 327,100, with an absolute peak of 393,600 new wallets recorded on January 11.

Reasons for the Rapid Increase in Wallets
Analysts at Santiment highlight several key factors that have influenced this trend. Firstly, in December 2025, the Ethereum team implemented the Fusaka upgrade, which significantly improved data processing and made working with decentralized applications more accessible by reducing fees and streamlining processes.
The second reason is the activity of stablecoins. In the fourth quarter of last year, the volume of stablecoin transfers on the Ethereum network exceeded $8 trillion. This underscores the increasing financial load on the network and attracts the attention of new users.
Additionally, according to blockchain and social media data, there has been a rise in interest in Ethereum since December 2025, even with a relatively stable exchange rate. New participants are opening wallets to engage with DeFi, NFTs, and other innovative areas. Furthermore, the seasonal factor at the end of the year traditionally stimulates positive sentiment in the market, which also contributes to user activity.
