Emergency Outages in the Capital and Regions
According to DTEK, emergency power outages are already in effect in Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, following the directive from “Ukrenergo”. Currently, the previously published schedules are not being applied.
“Schedules that could be predicted in advance are currently not in effect. We ask that you use electricity wisely! This will help minimize the number of outages!”
The Situation in Ukraine’s Regions
In Sumy region, Sumyoblenergo has announced the introduction of emergency outage schedules (GAW) for four groups of consumers. The energy company emphasized that these measures are applied in case of emergencies when it is necessary to quickly reduce the load on the grid. The duration of the outages cannot be predicted, as these are not planned hourly outages, but a response to extraordinary circumstances.
A similar situation is observed in Cherkasy region: according to Cherkasyoblenergo, as of October 27 at 08:53, GAW are also in effect in the region.
In addition, power outages are expected in Kharkiv, Poltava, and Kirovohrad regions. Energy workers urge citizens to understand the situation and to minimize the load on the grid to avoid even greater restrictions on electricity supply.
