In September 2025, for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian new passenger car market, fully electric models emerged as the most popular. The demand for electric vehicles increased so much that their share in the sales structure reached approximately one-third, whereas last year this figure was only 15.3%.

Sales Dynamics of Cars with Different Engine Types
According to analytics from “Ukravtoprom”, sales of new cars with traditional internal combustion engines continue to decline. If in 2024 their share was 63%, by September 2025 it had decreased to 47%. A particularly noticeable drop occurred in the diesel car segment – from 26% to 15.3%.
Gasoline cars maintained the second position in popularity among Ukrainian buyers, although their share also decreased: from 36.8% in 2024 to 31.2% in 2025. In third place were hybrids – 20.3% of the market, slightly down from last year (21.5%). Sales of cars with gas cylinder equipment remained stable and did not exceed 1%.

In each segment, specific models became sales leaders:
- Electric Cars: Volkswagen ID. Unyx
- Gasoline Cars: Hyundai Tucson
- Hybrids: Toyota RAV-4
- Diesel Cars: Renault Duster
- Gas-Powered Cars: Hyundai Tucson
