Structure of the Imported Car Market
Despite the annual growth, compared to October of this year, there was a 10% decrease in purchases in November. The average age of the cars registered in Ukraine last month is 8 years. This indicates that buyers are focusing on relatively new models with an optimal price-to-quality ratio.
According to analytics, gasoline models occupy the largest share of the imported used car market — 43%. In second place are electric cars, whose share has reached 32%, highlighting the growing interest of Ukrainians in modern ecological technologies. Diesel cars were chosen by 17% of buyers, hybrids by 5%, and vehicles with gas cylinder equipment (GCE) by 3%.
Leaders Among Imported Used Cars
Traditionally, the leader among imported used cars remains the Volkswagen Golf. This model continues to be the most popular due to its reliability, reasonable price, and availability in the European market.
“Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have purchased 231,400 imported used cars, which is 12% more than in the same period of 2024,” analysts note.
Thus, the market for used cars from abroad continues to develop, and Ukrainians are increasingly opting for both gasoline and electric models, choosing optimal options for their needs.
