Over the past year, Ukrainians have significantly increased their purchases of cars from China, favoring electric vehicles. In August alone, 2,424 Chinese-made passenger cars were registered, which is 42% higher than the same period last year.

Among the Chinese passenger cars purchased in August, 2,026 units were new vehicles, which is 52% more than the previous year. At the same time, 398 used cars from China were registered, also showing an increase of 7%. It is impressive that 88% of all imported cars are electric vehicles, indicating a rapid growth in the popularity of eco-friendly transport among Ukrainians.
Most Popular Models of New and Used Cars from China
Among the new models chosen by Ukrainians, the BYD Song Plus leads with 361 registered units. Following in popularity are the VOLKSWAGEN ID.UNYX (206 cars), HONDA eNS1 (202), BYD Sea Lion 07 (155), and AUDI Q4 (109).
The segment of used cars from China also shows a variety of choices. The most imported model was the ZEEKR 001 with 33 units, followed by the BYD Sea Lion 07 with 28, BYD Song Plus with 26, POLESTAR 2 with 19, and ZEEKR 7X with 18 cars.

Overall, the trend of increasing demand for Chinese cars, especially electric vehicles, reflects a shift in the preferences of Ukrainian consumers and a growing interest in modern technologies in the transport sector.
