The Czech government plans to introduce new guarantee and insurance programs for Czech companies intending to enter the Ukrainian market. This was announced by the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Karel Havlíček. According to him, these measures will promote the development of economic cooperation between the two countries and will also attract the necessary investments and products for Ukraine.

Czech Business Sees Ukraine as a Promising Market
Havlíček emphasized that Ukraine was previously among the top five most important trading partners of the Czech Republic among non-EU countries. Despite a decrease in trade volumes during the war, there is now a gradual increase being observed. Czech companies are showing interest in projects in the fields of transport infrastructure, hospital construction, machine engineering, and energy.
“The state can play a key role here. This is a concrete step that will help Ukraine, as the necessary products and investments will flow there,” said Havlíček, adding that at the same time, this could ease the entry of Czech companies into the Ukrainian market.
Preparation for New Economic Contacts
The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade also noted that teams from both countries are already working on organizing meetings at the economic level. He expressed confidence that after the war ends, Ukraine will become even more attractive to Czech businesses, and the activation of cooperation will open new opportunities for both sides.
