Massive Drone Strikes on Ukraine
This is already the third attack by the Russian army on Ivano-Frankivsk region since the beginning of 2026. According to Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, Russia used hundreds of drones against Ukraine throughout the day. He stated that from 9 AM to 3 PM, over 400 strike drones entered the country, including from the south, north, and across the line of combat engagement. Since the evening of March 23, 392 enemy drones have been recorded.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, reported that the Russians had long been accumulating resources for such a large-scale attack, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure in various cities of Ukraine.
In the very center of Ivano-Frankivsk, the shockwave shattered windows in the maternity hospital. In Kyiv, due to a five-hour air raid alert, long queues formed at public transport stops.
