Which Meme Coins Were Burned and Their Value

During this operation, several popular meme coins were burned. Specifically, the following were destroyed:

  • quq — worth $305,000;
  • SIREN — worth $142,000;
  • BNBCARD — worth $43,000.

Changpeng Zhao’s Comments on Future Actions

Changpeng Zhao, who previously led Binance, commented on the situation on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He emphasized that his public donation address only holds BNB tokens, and all other meme coins may be sold on the market in the future. CZ urged users not to send assets to this address if they do not wish for them to be liquidated through the market.

“I’m just clearing out the wallet. The donation address only holds BNB. Next time, I might just sell any meme coins I receive on the market. Do not send tokens to this address if you don’t want them sold on the market.”

This move by Changpeng Zhao indicates a shift in the approach to managing received tokens, which could impact the meme coin market in the future.
