Bunge’s Presence in Ukraine
Bunge has been a significant player in the Ukrainian agribusiness market for over twenty years. The company, which produces the popular “Oleina” oil, owns a modern port terminal, two oil extraction plants in Mykolaiv and Dnipro, as well as three elevators located in different regions of Ukraine.
The international holding company engaged in the processing and distribution of agricultural products, Bunge (Netherlands), wants to acquire the “Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant.” The Antimonopoly Committee has already allowed Koninklijke Bunge to acquire a controlling stake in Eltorne Limited. The Cypriot Eltorne Limited owns 100% of the shares of the “Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant” through the company “Aktiv-OZhK.”
This deal is expected to allow Bunge to expand its presence in the domestic market and enhance the efficiency of Ukraine’s agribusiness complex.
