Bioenergy and Pharmaceuticals — New Opportunities for Cooperation
The diplomat emphasized the significant prospects for both countries in projects related to biofuel production. Brazil traditionally remains one of the leading global producers of clean energy from alternative sources, and its companies are actively investing in bioenergy infrastructure worldwide. According to the ambassador, bioenergy plants are characterized by low costs, rapid construction, and environmental efficiency, while Ukraine has the necessary bioresources to develop this sector.
“The war has certainly negatively affected trade. However, bilateral turnover remains stable – mainly in the agricultural sector and machine engineering. We see great prospects for further development of economic ties, particularly in biofuel production projects. Brazil is one of the largest producers of clean energy from alternative sources. Many companies in our biofuel sector are investing worldwide. Bioenergy plants are inexpensive and quickly built, generating clean energy, and Ukraine, like Brazil, has all the necessary bioresources.”
In addition, the revival of pharmaceutical cooperation between the countries is being discussed. There are plans to combine the efforts of leading pharmaceutical companies for the joint production of affordable medicines, which could positively impact the provision of quality medications to the population.
Joint Initiatives in the Fight Against Poverty and Development of the Construction Sector
The ambassador emphasized that Ukraine is a co-founder of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, initiated by Brazil during its G20 presidency. This opens new opportunities for experience exchange and the implementation of joint projects in the social sphere.
The diplomat paid special attention to the civil construction sector, where prospects for interaction between Ukrainian and Brazilian companies are also emerging. The development of this sector could contribute to the modernization of infrastructure and the implementation of modern technologies in Ukraine.
