ARK Invest has released its 10th annual Big Ideas 2026 analytical report, which places significant emphasis on the prospects of Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market as a whole.

Predictions for Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Market Capitalization
According to the company’s analytical estimates, the total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency market is expected to reach $28 trillion by 2030. Of this amount, over 57%, or $16 trillion, could be attributed to Bitcoin.
ARK Invest specialists predict that the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the cryptocurrency market will be 61% per year, while for Bitcoin, this figure is even higher at 63% annually. In the long term, Bitcoin could capture up to 70% of the market, while the remaining share will be divided among smart contract networks such as Ethereum and Solana.
“Their value will be determined not so much by actual revenues from fees and usage, but by the fact that people will hold their native tokens as ‘digital money’ and a means of saving.”
Bitcoin’s Value and Other Key Findings from the Report
If Bitcoin’s market capitalization reaches $16 trillion, the price of the first cryptocurrency could soar to $761,900, assuming a supply cap of 21 million BTC. Currently, in January 2026, Bitcoin is trading just below $90,000.
In the past week, the market experienced two significant corrections due to macroeconomic factors, resulting in Bitcoin’s price temporarily dropping below $89,000.
The Big Ideas 2026 report spans 111 pages and includes not only forecasts for cryptocurrencies but also an analysis of developments in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, and other leading innovative sectors.
Among other important trends, ARK Invest also anticipates the growth of the tokenized assets sector to $11 trillion by 2030, the dominance of stocks in this segment, as well as the continued evolution of corporate blockchain networks and a shift in focus from infrastructure to applied solutions.
