AEO-B Status – A Path to International Recognition
From now on, the AEO-B authorization has been awarded to a manufacturer of components for agricultural machinery located in the Ternopil region. This status certifies that the enterprise meets strict safety and reliability requirements, maintains reliable control over its operations, is financially stable, and complies with customs and tax legislation.
“Currently, there are 119 enterprises in Ukraine with AEO-C status, and 6 of them also have AEO-B status. The first authorizations for the safety and reliability of companies began to be issued in 2022, by the end of 2024 there were already three, in 2025 – five, and now another domestic enterprise – a manufacturer of components for agricultural machinery from Ternopil region – has joined them,” the statement reads.
Benefits for Business and Future Prospects
The State Customs Service emphasizes that AEO-B authorization is a key condition for the international mutual recognition of the AEO program with other countries. When at least ten enterprises in Ukraine hold AEO-B status, it will open the possibility for negotiations with the European Union regarding mutual recognition agreements.
This mutual recognition will allow Ukrainian companies to gain additional advantages in international logistics chains and will also simplify customs clearance procedures for goods both in Ukraine and in partner countries.
The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program is an international cooperation mechanism between customs and enterprises that have proven compliance with all established standards. Currently, the program successfully operates in over 90 countries worldwide, including EU countries.
